Privacy Policy
bobbysmart.dev is the personal site of Bobby Smart. It's a static blog: no accounts, no comments, no forms, no payments, no advertising. I don't want your data, and the site is built so I don't have it. This page explains the small amount of processing that happens anyway, because honesty beats boilerplate.
What this site does not do
No client-side analytics or tracking scripts. No cookies set by this site. No local storage, no fingerprinting, no pixels, no ad networks, no social-media embeds that phone home. If any of that ever changes, this page will say so plainly before it does.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served through Cloudflare's global network. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) transiently to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable. I don't receive or store analytics derived from your visits; Cloudflare's own practices are described in their privacy policy.
Fonts
The Geist typefaces are self-hosted: the font files are served from this site's own domain alongside the rest of the page, so no third-party font requests occur and no font provider sees your IP address. No other third-party resources are loaded.
External links
Articles link out liberally, to tools, documentation, and to Codewalkers, where most of my published writing lives. Once you leave this site, the destination's own privacy practices apply.
RSS, sitemap, and llms.txt
The feed, sitemap, and llms.txt exist so people and software can find public content easily. They contain only published material, never anything about visitors.
Contact and requests
Since the site stores no visitor data, there's nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you believe something published here concerns you personally, reach me through the profiles on the about page.
Changes
If the site's behaviour changes (analytics added, fonts self-hosted, a newsletter launched), this page changes with it. Last updated: July 2026.
